Meet Molly!

Molly is a very sweet, gentle girl who is still learning that the world can be a safe place. She can be quite scared and unsure, especially when she encounters loud noises but underneath that nervousness is a loving girl who is slowly gaining confidence with the help of patience, routine, and lots of treats.

One of Molly’s favorite things in the world is food! She loves her treats and has a great appetite, happily eating two meals a day. She even decided that having her meals delivered to her was the proper way to dine and her foster family was happy to accommodate her.

Molly is doing well with her potty routine. She does her business outside when taken out but she does not yet alert her people when she needs to go. Her foster family takes her out approximately every two hours and with that routine she has had no accidents. She also has a predictable schedule and poops once a day, every morning.

She is comfortable in her crate and sleeps through the night with zero issues, although if given the choice, Molly would much rather have a cozy bed of her own. She would love a quiet little spot where she can retreat and feel safe.

On walks, Molly can be frightened by loud trucks and other sudden noises. When scared, she may try to pull away, so she needs a patient handler who can keep her secure and help her feel safe rather than pushing her into situations that overwhelm her. Continued positive, confidence-building experiences will be important for her.

Molly is wonderfully quiet. In fact, she has only barked twice in over a month! She is indifferent to other dogs and cats and doesn't seem particularly interested in making friends with everyone she meets. She does, however, become uncomfortable around loud barking, so a calmer household may be the best environment for her. She is also indifferent to children.

Molly isn't the dog who is going to immediately charge into a room and demand attention. She's more of a quiet, gentle observer who needs time to trust and feel comfortable. Her adopter will need to be patient and understanding as she learns new routines and discovers her confidence.

For the right person, watching Molly come out of her shell will be incredibly rewarding. She doesn't ask for much just a safe home, a comfy bed, predictable routines, tasty treats, and someone willing to let her move at her own pace.

Molly may still be scared but she's already showing us what a sweet girl she is. With time, patience, and a loving forever family, we're excited to see just how much she can blossom.
